Federal agencies will soon have new reasons to select Juniper’s AI-Native networking solution, Juniper Mist, with its transformative AIOps capabilities. FedRAMP has posted an update to our Juniper Networks™ Mist Government Cloud SaaS solution, designating it as “In-Process: Finalization” on the FedRAMP Marketplace. It’s an important milestone several years in the making that validates the solution and gives agencies the go-ahead for planning new projects.
FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program) provides standardized security assessment, authorization, and monitoring for cloud products and services. The FedRAMP certification process includes an in-depth examination of a solution’s data security and governance capabilities. Juniper Mist Government Cloud uses a combination of artificial intelligence/machine learning and data science techniques across the entire networking stack to simplify network operations. Having received agency-sponsorship, Juniper has completed all preparatory steps for authorization.
The announcement of “In-Process: Finalization” means Juniper Mist has both received an Agency Authority to Operate (ATO) and the FedRAMP Program Management Office is reviewing the Agency ATO accreditation artifacts for FedRAMP Marketplace ATO listing. When FedRAMP PMO completes its review and posts Mist as FedRAMP Marketplace ATO, other government entities will be able to rely upon that ATO to satisfy the requirements of their own accreditation packages. In short, other agencies will be able to buy Juniper Mist for their cloud networks without a separate certification.
Juniper Mist Government Cloud will be approved for civilian agencies, federal system integrators, and Air Force/Army National Guard units to optimize user experiences and simplify operations across both wired and wireless technologies within their headquarters and branch environments.
