Delivering experiences with positive impact
Across every industry, competition, reputation and customer satisfaction are all impacted by experience. And for most organizations, the network plays a significant role in determining the level and type of service that they can provide.
Users, devices and applications all demand predictable, reliable and optimized network experiences from client-to-cloud, wherever they are. At the same time, user privacy must be protected, cyber threats must be safeguarded against and confidential data must stay secure.
“For a financial institution like CU, our top priority is the stability of the network. We introduced equipment from Juniper Networks to improve stability, and also to deliver the performance required to support virtualization solutions, guarantee high throughput and scalability, and ensure compatibility with new technologies.”
– Park Soon-Yeong, Head of the Information Planning Team, IT Planning and Management, National Credit Union Federation of Korea
The IT teams responsible for enterprise networks are now working in an environment of constant change, accelerating demand and increasing complexity. Increasing numbers and types of clients, applications and devices within campus and branch environments are also causing IT teams to work much harder to meet network service level expectations.
CIOs need a way to tackle these problems head-on. That’s why Juniper Networks strives to deliver network experiences that transform how people connect, work and live – not just for end users, but also for those who implement, operate and manage customers’ networks. It’s also why AI-driven networking has become a strategic priority for businesses wanting to drive real results.
The recent announcement of new enhancements to the Juniper AI-Driven Enterprise portfolio illustrates this approach perfectly: campus fabric management and wired/wireless remediation at scale is now easier than ever via the Juniper Mist Cloud, thanks to simplification, greater operator insight and automation.
“As an organization built on a network-based work environment, we expect to evolve and diversify our offerings in the future, which will result in a demand for higher speeds. We are confident that the various AI-driven network upgrades by Juniper will drive value in every corner of our organization and put us in a strong position for continued growth.”

Simplifying, optimizing and enhancing campus networks
Many campus networks have been struggling to keep up while using technologies and architectures that were not designed to cope with the dramatic increase in the numbers and types of devices now in use. Yet the alternative – EVPN-VXLAN – technology can be complex to deploy and manage.
By enabling EVPN-VXLAN campus fabric management via the Juniper Mist Wired Assurance cloud service, Juniper now offers the ability to simplify wired, wireless and WAN via a common cloud and AIOps engine. Juniper Mist Cloud empowers administrators to choose a topology, define networks of interest, identify required physical connections and seamlessly apply the correct underlying policies, while working with a common operational schema across LAN, WLAN and WAN environments.
Additional Marvis Actions for proactive problem remediation have also been introduced, to expand Juniper’s unique automation, AIOps and cloud capabilities. Marvis Virtual Network Assistant takes insight derived from the Mist AI engine, such as the root cause of a problem, and delivers actionable recommendations for IT managers via a simple dashboard. Its conversational interface makes it easy and intuitive to work with and – unlike its human counterparts – Marvis is on duty 24/7. The new actions now added include persistently failing clients (wired and wireless), ARP/DNS anomaly detection, AP bad cable and coverage hole detection, insufficient RF capacity and more.
With Mist AI, and Marvis Virtual Network Assistant on their team, IT administrators have unparalleled automation, insight and troubleshooting, while self-driving operations and predictive actions can alleviate problems before they arise: streamlining operations, lowering costs and protecting service revenues.
Adding value to services and operations
Today’s AI-driven network has capability that extends far beyond connecting people, data and devices. With Juniper solutions, CIOs can not only assure services, prevent revenue loss and save costs, they can also leverage their campus and enterprise networks to offer enhanced experiences and additional services to engage users and create competitive differentiation.
In healthcare environments, the AI-driven network can optimize service delivery, enhance the patient experience, boost workforce well-being and lower the cost of care.
“With a Juniper Mist network, we don’t have complaints about the Wi-Fi anymore.”
– Ludovic Vandaele, IT infrastructure team leader, Jan Yperman Hospital
Universities and colleges are using location-based services (built into the Juniper AI-driven network) to support student success and wellbeing, and to deliver valuable, informative and relevant on-campus experiences. This is helping them to achieve academic, pastoral, security and safety objectives; reduce operational costs; and increase student retention and recruitment to drive additional revenue.
And with the advent of hybrid and distance learning, network availability remains paramount. For example, with Juniper’s wired solutions, next-generation firewalls and Paragon Insights (formerly HealthBot), Kyungsung University in Korea built a reliable, stable and secure networking infrastructure to respond to the paradigm shift in education brought aboutby the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Their secure new network infrastructure can support data-intensive, high-definition lecture videos and meet the heightened bandwidth demands of remote learning during the pandemic.
“As we transitioned to remote and hybrid learning, we realized the need to build a fast, stable, and secure network to ensure our students, faculty, and staff have always-on access to the resources and learning materials they require. With the deployment of the solutions from Juniper Networks, speed and bandwidth issues are now behind us.”
– Jin Woo Kim, Chief of Information and Computing Institute, Kyungsung University
In retail, optimizing IT experiences saves time and money, while enhancing services can grow revenue. The AI-driven network can be used to enrich, streamline and connect the customer experience, in-store and online and it can collect data and deliver insight to inform decisions that support operational and commercial objectives. IT teams can implement universal changes swiftly, spending less time on-site and locating problems – which means more time for value-driven activities.
“To achieve greater digitalization of the shopping experience, we needed an excellent network infrastructure. A Juniper network enables us to deliver that experience.”
– Simon Drees, Director of Omnichannel Services and Innovations, Outletcity Metzingen
Meanwhile, government agencies, non-profits and public organizations need highly-performant, secure networking tailored to support their IT across a wide range of environments. When mission-critical requirements demand high availability, they can rely on Juniper’s IC/DoD certified technologies and proven solutions.
“Our internet and network must always be available and protected against threats like video hijacking. With Juniper, we have peace of mind, and are able to protect the safety and privacy of our volunteers and guests.”
– Raja Ravi Sekar, Heartfulness Institute Trainer, Network and App Architect
Meeting the needs of the modern workforce: increased mobility and availability
The timing of these enhancements to the Juniper AI-Driven Enterprise portfolio could not be better: remote and hybrid working look set to stay with us for the long-term, and organizations are looking for ways to make their networks location-agnostic, supporting increased user mobility by hosting their data center in the cloud.
Juniper solutions simplify network operations, increase network service reliability and reduce helpdesk workload to free up skilled team members. At the same time, Marvis’ conversational interface and 24/7 availability have extended troubleshooting capability way beyond traditional helpdesk hours, while the nature of Mist AI means that Marvis is learning and improving every day.
Building open and trusted relationships for the long-term
Organizations appreciate that Juniper networks are built using an open architecture, so there’s no vendor lock-in, and instead of constantly pushing new solutions onto our customers, Juniper shares its thinking and ideas.
