What Is It Again?
At the end of 2019, we introduced a cloud service called Wired Assurance. Wired Assurance transforms network experiences for users, devices and the IoT by delivering automated operations and service levels for these connected devices. It leverages Mist’s AI engine and microservices cloud, which combined with Juniper EX Series Switches, delivers the rich streaming telemetry that enables visibility into switch health metrics and insights.
Mist’s AI engine and virtual network assistant, Marvis, pairs with Wired Assurance to simplify troubleshooting and streamline helpdesk operations. It is one step toward the Self-Driving Network™, turning insights into automated actions and fundamentally transforming IT operations from reactive troubleshooting to proactive remediation.

Wired Assurance for Day 0/Day 1 Activation and Provisioning
The excitement doesn’t stop at customer momentum. Wired Assurance now brings operational simplicity to Day 0/Day 1 activities for the onboarding and auto-provisioning of wired switches. It’s truly plug-and-play for network administrators, starting with a single activation code that claims the cloud-ready, ZTP-enabled EX Switches into the Mist Cloud. Once the switches are online, IT teams can deploy their own configuration models using global templates to streamline bulk rollouts. The templates help drive standardization of configurations yet are also flexible enough to accommodate specific site or switch attributes.
Wired Assurance also implements profiles to determine the provisioning of color and colorless ports. For the static provisioning of color ports, IT teams can manually assign profiles to port ranges or odd/even sequences. For the auto-provisioning of colorless ports, device types are automatically identified and assigned an appropriate profile, without requiring assistance from the network admin.
And with Mist’s 100% API foundation, deployments can now be fully automated to accelerate deployment and ongoing operations, helping IT teams transition away from being a “CLI jockey” with antiquated, cumbersome and error-prone CLI interfaces.
