Daniel Petrov

Daniel Petrov is currently Product Manager Senior Staff at Juniper Networks Campus and Branch business unit. His focus area is Secure SD-WAN and AI Ops for Networking. Petrov is a seasoned professional with 20 years of experience in computer networks, spanning across switching, routing, and security for enterprises and service providers. Prior to Juniper, Daniel held the position of Network Consulting Engineer – Advanced Services with Cisco Systems. He led the first commercial Voice over Long Term Evolution (VoLTE) deployment across the Vodafone Group of cellular service providers. Before that he worked as a networking engineer at Ericsson and deployed cellular networks in several countries – Barbados, Jamaica and Cayman Islands, among others. Daniel Petrov holds a PhD in computer science from University of Pittsburgh, as well as M.S. from University of Pittsburgh, and University of Sofia, as well as B.S. in Computer Science from University of Sofia, Bulgaria. In his studies Petrov focused on application of Big Data and AI for networking. He is the author of 10 publications.
