We’ve challenged the status quo since our inception in 1996 by leveraging our engineering talent to solve our customers’ toughest problems. By simplifying the different layers of a router into management, control, and forwarding, we pioneered “software-defined networking” many years before the term became popular. In 2011, we introduced the PTX converged supercore router, which shaped architectural decisions for service provider core networks around the globe.
